Wow! What an exhausting month! My Quincy location is finally all closed and the Braintree one is almost all done. (I just have to put some stuff in it’s proper place.) The state inspector came today and gave me my license to operate! It’s official, I’m back open for business.

Right now Sanctuary is still on schedule to open and be ready to see clients at the new space (formerly Ciao Bella- 335 Washington Street Braintree) on April 4th. Half of the painting is completed and the blue carpet you see in the picture is now ripped up and a nice new click floor is being installed as I write this newsletter. All of the licensing docs have been submitted for approval and the fun part (the installation and decorating) will begin.

Some important stuff for you to know…
I will be cancelling the landline phone as of April 1st. To contact Sanctuary Massage you will need to use 781-588-6027. This will be updated on the website very shortly. The 617 number will be disconnected.
NO MORE WATER BOTTLES!!! I have a fancy new water filtration system that is filled up and ready for use. I will no longer be handing out bottled water for you to take with you. I have cups and mugs here, or you can bring your own water bottle to refill and take with you. The water filtration system is called Zen Water and it has a 6 stage water filter, then re-mineralizes and magnetizes the water in the final chamber. Sanctuary Massage is MOVING!!!

Hello folks-

2013 is the year of change, right? Sanctuary Massage will be moving to 335 Washington Street in Braintree Square as of April 1st. There are some minor renovations going on and I will post before and after pics so you can see the transformation. In order to get the move done smoothly, I will be closing down on March 25th and re-opening for bookings at the new space on Thursday April 4th. There will be a grand opening party (date to be announced) and I hope you all will join me!

This past Monday I sent out a survey to my email list. The survey was created online at www.surveymonkey.com and anonymizes (I think that’s a word!) the results. The survey was 4 multiple choice questions with the intent of being able to get constructive feedback to make your therapy experience the best I can offer.

Based on your responses, I have made some changes already and am working towards implementing some others.

Immediate change #1: Increased scheduling availability. I have extended my hours on Fridays and Saturdays effective immediately. Fridays I will be open until 7pm (previously closed at 6pm). Saturdays I am now open until 5:30 (previously closed at 5).

Immediate change #2: Temperature in the room. Many of you are aware that because of the age of the building and setup of the utilities, I have very little control over the heat and A/C. I have purchased a portable heater to take the chill off the room, or to bump up the temp by request. As always, your direct communication with me is very helpful. After all… the time spent in session is your time, your comfort is key!

Then there is the big change that I will be making within the next few months (trust me, you will have plenty of warning!)… I am actively looking for a new office space. The survey helped me make some decisions because you were all fairly unanimous in your responses. I am looking for a space in either Quincy or Braintree close to the highway and within walking distance to the T. Of utmost importance is dedicated off street parking spaces, a more quiet and spa-like feel and that it be easy to find.

To all of you who participated in the survey, I thank you. I look forward to seeing you and serving you and I will keep you updated on the search for a new space.

Sanctuary Massage is now offering 30, 60 and 90 minute Reiki Healing Sessions.

Usui Reiki promotes healing through the clearing of energetic pathways in the body. It cannot do harm, it can only do good. This modality is completely complementary to any western medicine and has even been found to speed up healing or recovery time from illness as minor as a sprain to as serious as cancer.

I like to describe Reiki as a relaxation technique that promotes healing in the body. When we let go and relax our body has this amazing ability to heal itself.

I believe everyone has a special gift they can share with the world. Most of us struggle with figuring out what that gift or gifts are. Reiki training helps to open you up to the energy and allows you to “get to know yourself” and once you know yourself you can then help others.

I’ve been teaching Reiki since 2008. I’ve watched people transform with the help of Reiki and become very clear about what they want to do in this world.

Have an expiring Buy With Me voucher and can’t get the appointment you want?

Last year I ran several deals with Buy With Me and Eversave. The last of these deals is expiring at the end of this month. If you have an expired voucher or one that is to expire soon and you were not able to use it during the time the promotional value was in effect, you may still use it. Here’s how:

If you wish to book an appointment after the promotional value of the voucher expires, you may still use the voucher for the amount you paid for it (just like a gift certificate). I will honor it for a 30 minute or a 45 minute session at no additional charge, or you can apply it toward the cost of an hour, 90 minute or 2 hour session. For the hour or longer sessions, I will extend a discount of 20% off the regular price as well.

The Cancellation Policy- reposted

Recently, some folks have gotten upset with me for enforcing the 24 hour cancellation policy. I feel I must explain this and maybe you will see it from a business perspective. If you are a no show, or call me three minutes before your appointment and say you can’t make it, it leaves me no time to fill your spot. That means that I just lost income, and it takes away from someone else who would have LOVED to come in for a session today as opposed to booking 3 weeks out (my current wait time). It really only takes a moment to place a phone call, respond to the reminder email, or shoot me a text message saying that you need to cancel. As long as it is done at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment time, I should have no problem filling the spot. It is the courteous thing to do.

THE POLICY IS THIS: If you are a no show for your appointment, or you cancel less than 24 hours in advance, the voucher that you purchased through Eversave, Buy With Me or Tippr.com becomes void. It cannot be redeemed and it will not be refunded either by Sanctuary Massage or by the website where it was purchased. THE ONLY EXCEPTION TO THE RULE: If there was a dire emergency that prevented you from making your appointment or giving the appropriate notice, you will be given another opportunity to book and use the voucher.

Sanctuary Massage VALUES your time. Whenever possible, I try to give all my clients the full 60 minutes of hands-on time that your appointment is set for. I try to be as fair as possible when booking clients and providing a positive experience throughout the entire process- from start to finish. I think that my reviews speak truth to this statement.
